Of course when you are painting on top of an existing painting I listen to and look for underlying things the artist might have intentionally or unintentionally put in there. I like to let what's their guide me on what to do next…

A fixture of New York night life since the early 1980s, when she moved from Atlanta with her pal RuPaul, Lady Bunny is arguably the city’s reigning drag queen, less a mother hen than a queen bee with plenty of sting. Her signature look — big curves, bigger hair — has endured, as has her act: scowling, spiky comedy, laced with political jabs and honeyed with Southern-fried gregariousness.
And while much has changed in L.G.B.T. life over the past 17 years (gay marriage, PrEP, Caitlyn Jenner and “RuPaul’s Drag Race”), Lady Bunny retains the rude and crude spirit that has eroded over the decades, both from downtown Manhattan and from drag itself, now that “Drag Race” has minted a new crop of camera-ready stars.

Three decades after landing in New York with RuPaul, Lady Bunny rules as New York’s reigning drag queen, even as a younger generation nips at her heels.

I found myself laughing hysterically while chatting with the one and only Lady Bunny. That shouldn’t come as much of a surprise though given the amount of chuckles she’s given to millions of people throughout her illustrious career.
ERIC RUTHERFORD
MODEL / INFLUENCER
It is not often that careers go backwards but in the case of Mr Rutherford, that is exactly what has been happening. In a curious case of Benjamin Button-esque proportions, it seems that, now in his 50s, Eric Rutherford is having something of a renaissance. His salt and peppered Instagram currently has 170,000 followers and is growing daily. His appeal is heightened not simply by his physical appearance – Silver Fox doesn’t even come close – instead, Rutherford’s appeal seems to be as a style magnate to every generation of man.
